Our commitment
Cavmir LLC wants every visitor to be able to read, navigate and contact us on cavmir.com regardless of ability or the technology they use. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance for websites.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, one main heading per page and labeled navigation, so screen readers can move by structure.
- Text alternatives on meaningful images, and empty alternatives on decorative ones.
- Every form field carries a visible label or an accessible name, and consent is a real checkbox rather than fine print.
- Full keyboard operation with a visible focus indicator, a skip-to-content link at the top of each page, and pinch-zoom never disabled on mobile.
- Colour contrast checked against the AA ratio for body and large text on our burgundy, ivory and charcoal palette.
- Motion respects the reduced-motion preference, and autoplaying video is muted.
- Cookie consent that can be accepted or declined with equally sized controls.
Known limitations
We are still working on the following, and we would rather say so than claim perfection:
- Some older articles in the Learn section skip a heading level; we are correcting them as they are revised.
- Photo galleries on location pages describe the place shown but not every visual detail.
- Our brand film and property videos are narrated; a written transcript is available on request from the address below.
How we test
Pages are checked with keyboard-only navigation, automated audits (Lighthouse and our own pre-launch scanner) and a screen reader (NVDA on Windows) on the home page, service pages, a location page and the contact form before each major release.
