Brand Guidelines

Most businesses have a logo somewhere, a few colors they usually use, and a way of talking that changes depending on who wrote the post that day. That is not a brand — that is a habit. A brand is a set of decisions, written down, that everyone and everything follows: your website, your listings, your social posts, your emails, your signage. This is the document that holds those decisions. Every piece of marketing you buy after this one gets easier, faster, and more consistent because this exists.

Color & Typography System

Your exact palette with values for print and screen, and a type hierarchy that says which face and weight to use where.

Logo Usage Rules

Clear space, minimum sizes, approved backgrounds, and the misuses to avoid — so your mark looks right everywhere it appears.

Voice & Tone

How your business talks — with written examples of what to say and what not to say, so any writer can sound like you.

Photography Guidance

What your photos should look like — light, framing, subjects, and editing — so every image feels like it came from the same place.

Brand Guidelines is $499, one time.

Your Brand Book Powers Your Daily Social

The same brand profile we build here is what our Automated Social service reads when it creates a post for you every day — your colors, your type, your voice, without you touching it.

What You Get, and Why It Comes First

Brand guidelines are the least glamorous thing we sell and the one we recommend most often. Here is exactly what the engagement includes, how the work happens, and why we ask most clients to start here before spending money anywhere else.

What Is in the Brand Book

You receive a complete brand book as a polished PDF, delivered in your Cavmir client account. It covers your color system with exact values for screen and print, your typography — which typefaces you use, at which weights, for headlines, body text, and captions — and your logo usage rules: clear space, minimum sizes, which backgrounds it sits on, and the handful of misuses that quietly make a business look careless. It also covers voice and tone, with written examples of how your business talks in a listing, in a caption, and in an email, and photography guidance that describes the light, framing, and editing that make your images feel like yours.

Alongside the PDF, you get something most brand books do not come with: a working brand profile. This is the machine-readable version of your guidelines — the file our systems read when they build your social posts, your graphics, and your pages. The PDF is for people; the profile is for the tools that do the daily work. Together they mean your brand is applied the same way whether a person or a system is doing the applying.

If you already have a logo, colors you like, or an old style guide, we start from what exists and tighten it. If you are starting from very little, we make the decisions with you. Either way, the finished book reflects your business — not a template with your name typed into it.

Why This Comes Before Everything Else

Marketing without written brand standards produces work that has to be re-decided every time. Every post, every page, every ad starts with the same small arguments: which blue, which font, how formal, which photo. Those decisions cost time, and worse, they get made differently by different people, so the output drifts. A guest or client who sees your Instagram, then your website, then your email should feel like they met the same business three times. That only happens when the decisions are made once and written down.

It is also the honest prerequisite for our Automated Social service. That service builds a branded post for you every day, and it can only do that because your brand profile tells it exactly what your posts should look and sound like. We do not sell Automated Social without brand guidelines in place, because without them the output would be generic — and generic is the one thing daily posting cannot afford to be.

We will not pretend a brand book by itself raises revenue. What it does is make every dollar you spend after it work harder, because nothing has to be reinvented and nothing looks off. That is a modest claim, and we are comfortable making only modest claims we can stand behind.

How the Engagement Works

After purchase, we send a short intake: your existing logo files, any colors or fonts already in use, links to your website and listings, and a folder of your photos. If you have older brand materials, we want those too. From that, we draft the full brand book and the working profile, and deliver both to your Cavmir client account for review.

You get a revision pass — tell us what feels wrong, and we adjust until the book reads like your business. Most engagements finish within two weeks of receiving your materials. When it is done, the PDF is yours to keep and share with any vendor, printer, or designer you ever work with, and the brand profile stays live in your account, ready to power whatever you build next — with us or without us.

Frequently Asked Questions About Brand Guidelines

Do I need to have a logo already?

No, but it helps. If you have a logo, we build the system around it. If you need a full identity created from scratch — naming, logo design, the whole foundation — that is our Branding & Creative Direction service, and the brand book is included in that work.

What format is the brand book delivered in?

A polished PDF in your Cavmir client account, plus the working brand profile our systems use. You can download, print, and share the PDF freely — it is written so a printer, a web designer, or a new hire can follow it without calling you.

Is this required before Automated Social?

Yes. The daily posts are built from your brand profile — it is the input that makes them yours instead of generic. Brand Guidelines first, then Automated Social. Many clients buy them together.

I already have brand guidelines from another agency. Do I need this?

Maybe not. If your existing guidelines are complete, we can usually convert them into the working profile our systems need — talk to us before buying and we will tell you honestly whether your current book is enough.

How long does it take?

Most brand books are delivered within two weeks of receiving your materials, including the revision pass. The usual delay is on the intake side — the sooner we have your files and photos, the sooner we deliver.

Who owns the finished work?

You do. The brand book and everything in it belongs to your business. If you leave Cavmir tomorrow, you take it with you.
