Tools, directories, and reference for serious STR operators.
We get asked the same questions every week — which PMS? which platform? which manager? which calculator? So we built a directory. No affiliates, no rankings-for-pay. Just what we actually recommend, organised so you can find it.
One library, five shelves
This hub exists because the same questions kept landing in our inbox. Which PMS should I use? What does Airbnb actually take from me? Is a hot tub worth it in my market? Who writes loans on a cabin that qualifies on its Airbnb income? We kept writing the same careful answers, so we started publishing them — and the library grew into what you see below.
It is organised the way operators actually work, on five shelves. Data is the raw material: our free STR permit hub holds 129,643 permit and license records pulled from 21 official registries across 14 states, open to anyone. Tools turn your own numbers into decisions — an STR ROI calculator for the purchase you are weighing, fee calculators for the platforms you already sell on, and a listing and website grader that scores what you have live today. Directories are shortlists for when you need to hire or buy something: property-management software, booking platforms, management companies, vendors, lenders, CPAs, insurance. Research is the evidence layer — original, open-data studies anyone can check and cite. And guides are the long-form operator manuals, the full playbook written down.
How we keep it honest
No company in any directory pays to be listed, and there is not an affiliate link in the building. Every card carries a Cavmir take — including the reasons a tool might be wrong for you — and a researched-and-updated date, because advice that has quietly gone stale is worse than no advice. When something is a directional estimate, we label it as one. When we publish a number of our own, we publish the method and the dataset behind it so you can check our work. The calculators hold themselves to the same bar: each one runs entirely in your browser, documents every assumption it makes, and sends nothing you type anywhere.
One thing worth saying plainly: Cavmir is a marketing agency. We build brands, direct booking websites, and demand for vacation rentals and boutique hotels. We are not a property manager, a lender, a broker, or an insurance agent — which is exactly why the directories for those trades can stay honest. We have no product to sell you there.

Where to start
Launching your first property this year? Start with the guides — the launch manual covers the pre-listing checklist and the first fourteen days, when the algorithms decide what your listing is worth. Then run the Airbnb fee calculator so you know your real economics from day one, not the day you get your first payout report.
Listing live but plateaued? Grade it. The grader ranks your gaps by what they are worth, which beats guessing. If the debate at your house is about an upgrade — hot tub, EV charger, game room — the amenity ROI tool will tell you roughly how long each one takes to pay for itself before you spend a dollar.
Buying the next one? Check the permit data for the market first, model the deal in the ROI calculator, then use the lender and tax directories once the numbers clear. And if you want to see where guests are actually finding operators in 2026, the AI-search visibility study is the evidence — 550 real booking questions, every citation recorded.
Running a portfolio already? The directories earn their keep at scale, where a mediocre tool choice multiplies across every door. Start with the PMS comparison if your current system is creaking, the vendor stack for pricing engines, smart locks, and noise monitoring, and the management companies deep-dive if you are deciding between hiring help and staying hands-on. The fee calculators matter more here too — at portfolio volume, the platform-fee spread is not a rounding error, it is a salary.
