If You Messaged or Commented on an Account We Run
Cavmir answers comments and direct messages for its own Instagram and Facebook accounts and for client businesses, through a Meta app called Social Publisher. If you sent one of those accounts a message or a comment and want us to delete what we hold about you:
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request". Include your Instagram username or Facebook name and the account you contacted, so we can find the conversation.
- Within 30 days we delete the text of your comments and messages, our replies to you, and the username and ID attached to them, and we confirm by email.
- This does not remove anything from Instagram or Facebook. To remove a message or comment there, unsend the message or delete the comment in the app.
If you never ask, we still delete the text of comments, messages and our replies after 90 days. We keep only the comment and message IDs that stop us from answering the same message twice.
If You Connected a Facebook Page or Instagram Account
If your business connected its Facebook Page or Instagram professional account to a Cavmir service and you want that data deleted, here is how:
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request" from the email associated with your account, or use the "Disconnect & delete my data" button in your client dashboard.
- We delete the data we stored to operate your service within 30 days, and confirm by email once it is done.
- You can also remove the Social Publisher app at any time in your Facebook settings, under Business integrations. This immediately cancels our access.
What Gets Deleted
- Your Facebook Page ID and Page name
- Your Instagram professional account ID and username
- The access token that authorized us to act for your accounts
- The comments and messages your accounts received through our service, and our replies
That is everything we store from Meta's platform. We do not collect follower lists, audience data, or insights, so there is nothing else to delete.
Any Other Data
To request deletion of any other personal data we hold — contact form submissions, email correspondence, or client account details — email [email protected] or [email protected]. We complete deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
