Cavmir is a marketing agency for luxury vacation rentals, boutique hotels and the people who own and manage them. We build direct-booking websites and run SEO, GEO (getting found in AI search), digital PR, content, social media and video for clients in the United States and abroad. We are growing fast and hiring across time zones, so clients get answers in their own business hours.

About this role

You will keep Cavmir's cloud systems healthy, secure and backed up as we grow: the services behind client websites, dashboards, reports and automations. You report to the Head of Development.

We keep the details of our systems private. You will learn them after you join, under a confidentiality agreement.

What you will do

• Monitor uptime, errors and performance, and fix problems before clients notice them.
• Manage access, keys and permissions with least access and a written record.
• Run and test backups, and prove we can restore them.
• Set up domains, DNS, certificates and email records for new client sites.
• Track usage and costs, and flag waste.
• Keep runbooks current so anyone on the team can follow them.

What you need

• Three or more years administering cloud services for a business.
• Solid knowledge of DNS, TLS certificates, email records, access control and backups.
• Comfort with the command line and scripting.
• Clear written English.

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless platforms and content delivery networks.
• Security certifications or incident response experience.

How you will work

• Remote. We hire in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
• Hours: Hours agreed with your manager; most of the work happens in US Eastern business hours.
• Full-time. Contract terms depend on the country you live in.
