Cavmir is a marketing agency for luxury vacation rentals, boutique hotels and the people who own and manage them. We build direct-booking websites and run SEO, GEO (getting found in AI search), digital PR, content, social media and video for clients in the United States and abroad. We are growing fast and hiring across time zones, so clients get answers in their own business hours.
About this role
You will own Cavmir's books, close and financial reporting. Cavmir is a US company with sister brands and clients and contractors in several countries, so the numbers have to be right in more than one currency.
What you will do
Run the monthly close: reconciliations, accruals and a clean profit and loss by brand.
Own accounts payable and receivable, and keep collections on time.
Pay contractors in several countries correctly and on schedule.
Build the monthly cash flow view and a simple budget against actuals.
Work with our outside accountants on tax filings, year-end and contractor forms.
Set financial controls: approvals, spending limits and a clear audit trail.
What you need
Five or more years in accounting, with at least two as a controller or senior accountant.
Strong knowledge of US accounting and small-business tax filings.
Experience with cloud accounting software and multi-currency payments.
Discretion with financial information.
Clear written English.
Nice to have
CPA or equivalent qualification.
Agency or service-business experience.
Experience with Brazilian or Latin American entities.
How you will work
Remote. We hire in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Hours: Hours agreed with your manager; most of the work happens in US Eastern business hours.
Full-time. Contract terms depend on the country you live in.
This role is not for you if
Month-end can slip a week in your world. Here it cannot.
