Cavmir publishes its 2027 outlook for short-term rental design and technology

The report looks at where interior design, guest expectations, and AI are heading for independent rentals and boutique hotels in 2027.

Cavmir has published its 2027 outlook, a pair of reports on where design and technology are heading for vacation rentals and boutique hotels.

The design report covers the material palettes, layouts, and amenities guests are starting to expect, and how those choices photograph and market.

The technology report looks at the cameras, phones, and AI tools changing how a listing is shot, edited, and found, and what actually helps a host book more nights versus what only sounds new.

Both are written for owners and operators, not vendors: no jargon, no hype, and no revenue promises. The pieces cite named sources and give ranges rather than invented statistics.

“Every year there's a list of trends that never touch a real booking. We tried to write the opposite, the handful of changes a host should actually plan around.”Sanjay Gupta, Head of Technology, Cavmir
